Well I can vary in many ways with this guy. However, I feel that I should take the polite road on this one. First of all, I cannot understand why, if a punk band plays a song about thier emotions or girls, then their considered emo. How ridiculous! If that was the case, then the Ramones would be the biggest emo band of all time. I, though not a big Blink fan, still I consider them punk as well as Greenday. Hell Rancid's on the radio, are they considered sellouts now? As far as the Sex Pistols go, give me a break man. They probably sold more records then most mainstream punk bands out today. Not to mention their shows cost a fortune. Bad example man. But I hear your cause. Punk Rock has gotten pretty weak, but there is still a chance when you got real talent and balls out there with bands like Zeke, Electric Frankenstein, the Stitches (not LES), and the Elvis Disciples. Man if your so repressed go listen to your old records. Take a ride down memory lane with the likes of Radio Birdman and the Ramones. Ooops forgot, they're emo and that blows.
